Thanks for a nice roundup – my 12 year old son is now loving Rick Riordan, and just finished the first Magnus Chase book, is now reading the second, Hammer of Thor. I’ll ask him which is better. He and his older brothers like most Percy Jackson / Greek (& Roman) hero books; also his father (me!) has read some of them. Even in Slovak. (we live in Slovakia with my Slovak wife).
